About SellerCalc

SellerCalc is a small, independent project with one narrow goal: give online sellers the number they actually need — what do I keep per sale? — without making them sign up for anything, hand over an email address, or read a 2,000-word blog post first.

Every calculator here is a real calculator. You type your numbers, it does the arithmetic, and you get a fee breakdown and a true profit figure. No "enter your email to see results".

Why these calculators exist

Marketplace fee structures are genuinely hard to hold in your head. Etsy alone stacks a transaction fee, a payment processing fee, a listing fee and an optional ad fee — and the payment fee differs by the buyer's country. Amazon FBA adds referral fees, fulfilment tiers and storage that changes with the season. When the fee stack is opaque, sellers price wrong, and pricing wrong is the most common reason a store quietly loses money on every order.

So we turned the fee schedules into calculators, and we publish the breakdown rather than just a single number, because the breakdown is what tells you which fee to attack.

How we keep the numbers right

Fee rates are read from each platform's own published fee documentation and hard-coded into the page — we do not guess, and we do not scrape a third-party summary. Each calculator shows the rates it uses in a table below the result, plus a Last reviewed date in the footer so you can see how fresh they are. Platforms change fees without much notice; if you spot a rate that is out of date, please tell us and we will fix it.

How the site is funded

SellerCalc is free and has no ads. It is funded by affiliate commissions: if you click through to a tool like Shopify and later sign up, we may earn a commission. That never changes what the calculator outputs, and we do not take payment to rank a tool higher. Full detail is in our affiliate disclosure.

Affiliate disclosure

In line with FTC guidance (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose that this site contains affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or sign up, the vendor may pay us a commission. The price you pay is identical either way. We link to tools because we think they are relevant to the calculation you just ran — not because of the payout. Where we recommend something, we say what it is good at and who it is wrong for.
